Duke Energy Renewables (DER) has acquired the 200MW (ac) Holstein PV project as utility-scale solar expansion remains strong in Texas amid an ongoing transition from coal to cleaner alternatives for electricity generation.

Financial terms of the transaction with project developer 8minute Solar Energy were not made public by DER, a subsidiary of Duke Energy.
