EDP Renewables has named Manuel Ortiz Plaza as Brazil country manager, as the company increases its focus on onshore wind in the country.
Ortiz Plaza, EDPR's procurement director in Brazil and Europe, will replace Renato Volponi who has been heading the company since 2009, a year after it started operations in Brazil.
The change comes as the group focuses its expansion in Brazil on onshore wind in both the regulated and non-regulated markets.
