Better-performing, cheaper technology, affordable land and an impressive operational track record are helping Brazil’s solar industry to go head-to-head with wind – and PV could be set for its best ever showing in the country's next power tender.

A total of 26GW at more than 900 projects is registered in June’s A-4 tender, exceeding the 23GW of registered wind for the first time since 2014, when Brazil first opened its procurement process to PV.
