Corporations signed on to buy more than 13.4GW of renewables globally last year, more than doubling the previous record set in 2017, and corporate buyers – large and small – show every sign of becoming an even more important growth driver for renewables in the years ahead.

In the past decade corporations have signed 32GW of renewable energy power-purchase agreements (PPAs), with 40% of that coming in 2018 alone, according to new figures from market researcher BloombergNEF.
