Danish developer European Energy has signed a framework power-purchase agreement (PPA) with Axpo Italia, a unit of Swiss utility Axpo, for up to 300MW of utility-scale solar in Italy.

The exact details have not been revealed, although the companies say that “the agreement is for more than 12 years”, and that up to 150MW are “ready-to-build”.

“The length and the price of the agreement ensures bankability, which will allow us to realise substantial parts of our Italian project pipeline,” says European Energy chief executive Knud Erik Andersen.
