Invenergy, one of the largest US wind operators, has secured construction financing and started building its largest ever solar project, a 160MW array that will sell its output to utility Georgia Power.

The Southern Oak project will be finished by the end of 2019, qualifying for the 30% solar investment tax credit, representing another big notch for Chicago-based Invenergy as it continues its solar diversification push.
