Volkswagen – the world’s largest car maker – has set up a subsidiary called Elli Group that will provide consumers with renewable energy, charging stations for electronic vehicles (EVs) and electricity storage all under one roof.
The manufacturer in 2020 will present the Volkswagen ID, the first of dozens of models based on a modular electronic drive planned for introduction by 2025, when the company hopes to sell up to three million EVs a year.
