Onshore wind took the majority of the capacity in Denmark’s first technology-neutral tender.

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) said it expects to offer contracts to 165MW of wind and 104MW of PV following the auction, the first held under a new support system announced last year that offers winning projects a top-up premium on market prices for 20 years.

The weighted average premium of the winners was equivalent to DKr22.8/MWh
