Sales at the renewables segment of German utility E.ON rose by 7% to €1.2bn ($1.35bn) in the first nine months of 2018, mainly because of a higher output due to the commissioning of new onshore wind farms in the US and an offshore wind farm in the UK.

Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (adjusted Ebit) in renewables rose by 14% to €283m in the period, primarily thanks to the new capacity coming online.
