Engie-backed Tractebel has acquired Germany-based engineering player Overdick in a move aimed at boosting its reach in the offshore wind sector.
Overdick, which specialises in offshore engineering, offers a wide range of services within the areas of offshore wind, offshore oil and gas, naval architecture, marine operations, platform removals and salvage.
“This acquisition is a perfect strategic fit for Tractebel to grow in the field of offshore wind and to reinforce its position as a leading consulting and engineering company in the energy transition,” the company said in a statement.
