Six projects totalling 928MW were successful in the first clean-power auction held in the Australian state of Victoria.

The three wind and three solar projects will be offered 15-year support deals by the state, based on a two-part mechanism — with a contract-for-difference (CfD) for power produced, plus a separate payment towards capital costs. The state declined to reveal detailed figures concerning the cost of supporting the winning bids following the reverse auction, citing commercial confidentiality.
