Leaders of France, Spain and Portugal have met to agree ways to reduce the Iberian Peninsula’s isolation from European electricity markets, helping the movement of renewable power.
A grant agreement was signed at the meeting in Lisbon for the €578m ($675m) Bay of Biscay subsea power link – the largest award ever made to an energy infrastructure project under the EU’s Connecting Europe initiative.
