Société Générale has acquired renewable energy crowdfunding platform Lumo, a French company developed to support and accelerate the energy transition in the country.
Lumo gives individuals and companies the opportunity to help finance a selection of renewable energy projects in France by collecting funds from thousands of individual investors. To date, the funds, the company said, have been used to finance approximately 40 wind, solar and hydroelectric projects with a total green electricity output of over 260 million kWh.
