French group Engie has signed a €2.6bn ($3bn) deal to sell off its last coal-fired assets in Asia-Pacific, a move in line with its strategy to focus on low-carbon activities.

Engie agreed to dispose of its 69.1% interest in Glow, an independent power producer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Glow owns and operates production facilities across Thailand and Laos and counts 800 employees.
