The African Development Bank, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Africa50 investment fund aim to collaborate on the “Desert to Power programme” that could develop 10GW of solar energy to power African nations.
The programme, initiated by the African Development Bank, aims to develop solar energy projects across the Sahel region – a zone of transition in Africa between the Sahara to the north and the Sudanian Savanna to the south.
