The mechanism for future renewables support and the scale of offshore wind ambition are among the issues centre stage as Denmark’s politicians seek cross-party agreement on the best way to achieve a share of at least 50% for renewable energy by 2030.

A framework policy proposed by the country’s government, ‘ Energy for a green Denmark ’, outlines new measures to support increasing renewable energy capacity, a reform of energy and electricity taxes, and various energy-saving initiatives totaling about DKr15bn ($2.37bn).
