Global payments group Visa is targeting an-all renewable power supply across its operations by the end of 2019 after joining the RE100 corporate clean-energy initiative.

Visa – which currently has around 35% renewables in its power mix – plans to join other data centre operators by tapping utilities and other power suppliers for renewable sources where possible.

The company said the heaviest focus of renewables investments would be in the US and UK, where four facilities account for 80% of its global power use.
