Swedish energy group Vattenfall plans to invest SKr1bn ($123m) in large-scale solar energy generation and work to provide small-scale solar solutions for customers over the next two years.

Vattenfall will invest in the development of large-scale solar PV farms, in locations where it can use existing infrastructure to reduce costs. “The Parc Cynog wind farm in Wales is such an example of a combined wind and solar farm,” the company said.
