Brazil’s Mines and Energy Ministry has announced it will hold a tender between May and August this year to contract new power for 2024.
Details of the tender, known as A-6, will be released after government analysis of demand projections from power distributors. The forecasts have to be handed over to officials before the end of February.
The government has yet to decide whether wind or solar power will be contracted.
