French energy giant EDF signalled an “unprecedented acceleration” of its renewables programme, amid surging production at its Energies Nouvelles unit.

A key plank of EDF’s renewables strategy will be its ‘Solar Plan’ of installing 30GW in France over the 2020-35 period, with a €25bn ($31.3bn) budget for the PV sector largely funded through joint ventures, the group said in its 2017 full-year results statement.
