French utility EDF and Abu Dhabi renewable energy company Masdar have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work together in the low-carbon power sectors of countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
The agreement will explore rural project opportunities within the framework of both companies’ existing investments in the region, while evaluating scope for new developments and models for off-grid energy solutions.
