Plans for another major wind-plus-storage initiative in Australia took a step forward as the Victoria government backed a 204MW project linked to a battery.

The Bulgana Green Power Hub will link wind and storage to power a major agricultural facility in the state.

The Victoria government said it has inked a 15-year “support agreement” with French renewables developer Neoen, which is leading the project at Stawell.
