A group of 225 investors with $26.3 trillion under its wing will step up pressure on 100 of the world’s most carbon-intensive corporations to do more to reduce emissions.

The Climate Action 100+ initiative, which includes many of the world’s largest institutional investors, said it will “focus engagement” on the corporate greenhouse gas emitters to “align their business plans” with the aims of the Paris Agreement, reached two years ago today after the COP 21 climate summit.
