Developer DP Energy has named Vestas as preferred supplier for the wind element of its Port Augusta Renewable Energy Park, which it says is destined to be Australia’s largest hybrid project at 670MW.
The Danish wind group is in line to supply turbines to the 220MW of wind planned for the first stage of the project near the city of Port Augusta, north of Adelaide on Australia’s southern coast.
