Danish wind turbine maker Vestas has joined corporate renewable energy group RE100.

The OEM, which in line with the RE100 mandate of sourcing 100% from renewables is already clean-energy-powered, said the move was a commitment to minimising the environmental impact of its own operations as its electricity consumption grows.

"Vestas is already using 100% renewable electricity across its own operations to create wind power infrastructure," says Sam Kimmins, head of RE100, which was launched by The Climate Group in 2014.
