Argentina has registered 228 bids for the forthcoming Round 2 tender of its RenovAr renewable energy programme, totaling more than 9.4GW of mostly solar and wind projects.
That is more than eight times the 1.2GW that the country said it wants to contract from renewables this year.
Of the total offered, solar accounted for 5.3GW in 99 bids, wind 3.8GW
