Renewable power today occupies a central place in Argentina’s energy, political, social and economic agenda. The energy paradigm of the country is in the process of transformation.

The Renewable Energy Law 27191, sanctioned at the end of 2015, laid the basis of the shift towards long-term planning. Subsequent decrees (D531 / 2016 and D882 / 2016) have allowed the sector to march towards the legally set target for at least 20% of all power supply in Argentina to be based on renewable power generation by 2025.
