The International Energy Agency (IEA) is not expecting the US renewables market to change significantly under President Donald Trump, Recharge has learned.

Paolo Frankl, head of the renewable-energy division at the IEA, told Recharge in an exclusive interview that the agency does not want to speculate on future Trump administration energy policies, but he believes the fundamentals of wind and solar in the US are strong.
