Low winds and costs to upgrade its network infrastructure in Germany dragged down results at Innogy during the first year as separate company from RWE, but the utility expects a positive earnings trend for 2017.
Power generation from renewables fell by 2.9% to 10 billion kWh in 2016 from a year earlier, mostly due to low wind levels at major generation sites in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland.
