Solar power looks to catch the chimney's updraft

German engineers Sclaich Bergermann Solar are scaling up designs for a striking renewable-energy technology known as the ‘solar updraft tower’. They are in discussions with partners about plans to bring their 30-year-old concept to the developing world.
