Siemens says fuel mixture test burn was successful

Siemens has successfully completed initial firing of biocrude oil developed by PetroAlgae, a plant-based, micro-crop biomass material that is processed into a solid residue. The biocrude/coal fuel mixture burned well and produced 20% lower nitric oxide (NOx) emissions than coal alone.
