IN DEPTH: Offshore diamond takes shape in the rough North Sea

Roughly 20km off the coast of Norfolk, east England, the waters are now as tranquil as they get in the North Sea in early autumn. Next summer that relative calm will be disturbed as the foundations for the 88 turbines that will make up the giant 315-megawatt (MW) Sheringham Shoal wind farm are installed.
