A roadmap towards greater global fuel economy was presented by a joint international agency at the Geneva Motor Show.
The ’50 by 50’ initiative by Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) says annual savings of six billion barrels of oil and 2 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide – equivalent to half the total current annual emissions of the EU - are achievable through an ambitious worldwide programme.
