ECD has cancelled an auction of United Solar Ovonic (Uni-Solar), scheduled for Tuesday, and halted the sale process being overseen by a federal bankruptcy court in Michigan after no acceptable qualified bids were received in time.
The company could still be sold through an alternative transaction and ECD has retained its investment banker, Quarton Partners. But it has also hired Hilco Industrial, an auction services company, to prepare for a liquidation sale.
