After putting in place a PV auction system last year, and starting a revision of its net-metering programme and a local-content scheme, Brazil now wants to attract investors to its solar sector.
Following the example of the wind industry, the government believes that in the next five years it will have in place a national solar PV industry, complete with local factories to supply the growth of the technology from 15MW of installed capacity now to around 3.5GW
