Walmart did not disclose terms of the deal. The company is the top commercial solar energy user in the US.
SolarCity has completed more than 200 solar projects at Walmart locations since 2010. Since 2013, SolarCity has installed nearly 50 solar carport and rooftop projects for Walmart nationwide totaling 16.1MW generation capacity.
It will be incorporating 10 energy storage projects co-located with solar power generation at Walmart locations.
