Independent power producers (IPPs) through June generated 7.727 million MWh of solar, electric utilities 593,000MWh with the balance by commercial and industrial sources.
While solar was the best performer among renewables during the first six months, wind also did well, generating 99.739 million MWh, 9% more than a year earlier.
