US approves first 'Western Solar Plan' projects

A trio of utility-scale PV projects totaling 440MW – developed by First Solar, NV Energy and Invenergy – are the first to achieve approval under the US Interior Department’s Western Solar Plan, which seeks to streamline solar development on sun-soaked public lands.
