The 230kV line, to be developed by CSOLAR Development, an affiliate of Tenaska, requires an 8km, 37-metre-wide right of way through federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land already designated for transmission.
The ISEC project would use Soitec’s Concentrix CPV, though the project has yet to receive approval from Imperial County, notes the BLM Director Bob Abbey in a decision memorandum to Salazar.
