Taiwan’s Motech to buy GE solar plant in Delaware

Motech will acquire the crystalline silicon module assembly plant in Newark, Delaware, giving the company a US manufacturing presence. Motech, which ranks in the top 10 among global PV manufacturers, has supplied GE with solar cells for the last four years. Along with the factory, Motech will have the right to use GE Energy’s solar module trademark for two years and will maintain warranties for existing GE customers.
