Yingli, Trina and numerous other Chinese module makers are expected to buy cells from Taiwanese companies to get around US anti-dumping duties of 31% levied on their own products.
The decision on duties, announced last week, is still preliminary but the tariffs will be effective immediately.
They are expected to boost cell prices that have slumped from $1.1 per watt about a year ago to just $0.46
