Wuxi, China,-based Suntech says China’s Solar Rooftop Program, administered by the Ministry of Finance, recently approved a batch of 111 solar project applications. The program began in March and applications were submitted in April.
System owners will receive rebates between 13-17RMB ($1.90-$2.49) per watt through the program, Suntech says.
“Suntech targets to develop approximately 20% of the successful applications and will also participate as the system owner or partial investor in some projects,” the company says.
