The deal will be the fifth project SunPower has built for Madrid-based NaturEner. Previous plants total 29MW in the Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura regions.
The plant is to be completed by the end of the year on a 38-hectare site in Alange, Badajoz, about 200 kilometres north of Sevilla. It will use SunPower Serengeti panels mounted on T0 Trackers, which SunPower says deliver 25% more energy than fixed panels.
