The lawsuit – filed Wednesday in a federal court in San Francisco – revives aspects of a case dating back half a decade, and widens the swirl of accusations of trade secret theft and employee poaching within Silicon Valley’s tightly-knit PV sector.
In 2012 SunPower sued SolarCity and several former employees for roughly the same thing. That case was settled later that year.
