All told, California-based SunPower won 27 of the 33 contracts up for grabs in the tender – including the rights to build five PV systems with integrated battery storage totaling 18.4MW, and additional module-supply contracts worth 20.7MW.
The tender covered solar and storage capacity in so-called non-interconnected zones (ZNI) in Corsica, the French island in the Mediterranean, and the French West Indies, a group of French territories in the Caribbean that includes Guadeloupe and Martinique.
