The Freiburg-based firm commissioned the 5MW and 4.7MW projects in the Apulia region late last year, holding back the final sale until performance tests were concluded.

In addition to the €41m payment, which will be booked in the first quarter of 2011, the deal lifts SAG Solarstrom’s overall generation capacity to 20MW.

“Both projects benefit from [Italy’s] attractive 2010 feed-in tariff,” says chief executive Karl Kuhlmann.
