Two new, unnamed investors also joined the funding round, which had been part of the company’s capital plan from the outset. The capital raise follows an initial $50m invested at the time of the company's launch in June 2008.
The capital will help SpectraWatt complete the ramp up of production at its Hopewell Junction, New York, manufacturing facility, which is already producing solar cells, and to fund ongoing operations and growth.
