SCE’s Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Program envisions 250MW of distributed solar, developed by independent producers, in the form of 1MW-2MW commercial rooftop projects in the utility’s territory.
The utility will develop another 250MW itself.
If successful, the program will contribute to SCE’s renewable energy portfolio – which must reach 33% by 2020 to meet state’s goals – without the need for costly and time-consuming transmission improvements.
