On Monday,wholesale power generator Southern Power announced it will buy a 51% stake in the 200MW Tranquillity PV project under construction in Fresno County from Canadian Solar.
Southern Power did not release financial terms of the transaction with First Solar or provide its ownership stake in Desert Stateline.
First Solar holds the balance in the project in San Bernadino County, which is due to enter full commercial operation in third quarter 2016.
