The German solar-cell producer has finished three major projects in Thailand on the back of the country’s generous incentive scheme, whereby solar­power generators are paid an additional 6.5 baht ($0.21) per kWh on top of the wholesale electricity tariff. Thailand has also resolved to source 25% of its energy from renewables by 2022.

Conergy bagged its fourth project in late December, to build a 9MW plant 260km northeast of Bangkok for local infrastructure company CH Karnchang.
